The Fortunate Feast is a collaborative Holiday Experience and Distribution community event founded by three Sacramento-based organizations—BAWS, Cap City Chef, and YXPlosion, LLC. While each organization has its distinct missions, we are united in our commitment to uplift and support Sacramento's underserved communities.

 

What began as a simple act of kindness has evolved into an annual tradition that many look forward to. For seven consecutive years, we have proudly come together as a coalition to host a welcoming, family-friendly holiday event at the Oak Park Community Center. The Fortunate Feast opens its doors to all neighbors in need and invites compassionate individuals and organizations to join us as we continue to make a difference in the city we love so much.

 

With the unwavering support of our community, we are honored to celebrate the holidays with more than 4,000 neighbors, serve 2,800 warm meals, and essential supplies, new toys, gifts, and other holiday items that valued more than $2 million.
