Please review the following guidelines to ensure a smooth setup and successful event.
* Every member of your team must register as a volunteer before December 6, 2025.*
1. Event & Volunteer Information
Location: The event will be held at the Oak Park Community Center, utilizing both the lobby and gymnasium. The holiday experience will take place in the main building, while holiday distribution will occur in the gymnasium.
Volunteer Roles: Roles will be assigned upon check-in. For any special accommodations, please contact us at fortunatefeast916@gmail.com as soon as possible, and we will do our best to assist you.
Wardrobe: Please wear sneakers and wardrobe that is suitable for indoors & outdoors. Holiday attire is highly encouraged.
2. Volunteer Application
Personal Information: All information provided in the volunteer application is never shared and used solely for the Fortunate Feast. To prioritize the safety of our community, YXPlosion will use this information to perform a preliminary background check using public records to ensure that all volunteers 18 years or older are fit for community participation.

Deadline: The final day to register as a volunteer at the SIxth Annual Fortunate Feast is December 08, 2025. Only those who have received approval via email will be permitted to volunteer. Please direct all individuals interested in volunteering to submit an application using our website, www.yxpunite.org/ffvolunteer
Minors: Minors are welcomed and encouraged to volunteer at the Fortunate Feast. Guardians are required to include the names and ages of all minors attending in their volunteer application. Please ensure that minors are supervised at all times.
3. Volunteer Conduct
Distribution: Volunteers must not take, hide, or distribute items to others without proper approval. Anyone found engaging in these actions will be asked to leave the event immediately, without warning.
Incident Reporting: Volunteers are required to promptly report any unusual, unsafe, or suspicious activities occurring during the Fortunate Feast to event leads. This ensures the continued safety and well-being of our community.
Holiday Brunch & Coffee: Volunteers must not receive meals from our distribution line, as the to-go meals are for solely allocated for guests of the Fortunate Feast. All volunteers requesting a meal will be rejected, no exceptions.
4. As a Thank You
Self-serve beverages: Self-service coffee from Starbucks and water will be exclusively available for volunteers from 7:00 to 7:30 AM at the volunteer check-in area. After 8:00 AM, coffee will no longer be available for volunteers.
Swag: Volunteers will receive a Fortunate Feast swag upon event completion.
Volunteer Distribution: Once the distribution line has concluded, volunteers will have the opportunity to select from the approved items. It is imperative that all volunteers wait for group approval before doing so.
